"Scope for the Imagination"

Anne of Green Gables. Classic. Romance. Humor. Beautiful. Breathtaking. A timeless story that cannot be compared to any other story. My favorite movie of all time. Makes me cry, makes me laugh, makes me sigh, makes me feel like home.
Ever since I was little I have wanted to step into Anne's world of Avonlea and Prince Edward Island. I wanted to row boats in Berry's Pond/"The Lake of Shining Waters", wander through the Avenue/ "White Way of Delight", and stroll through the fields by the lighthouse on the beach. Life seems so idyllic in Anne's world, but her troubles are often the same as the problems I have in life today in my modern world.
Right now I'm sitting in my apartment watching the marathon of Anne on a Sunday evening for the millionth time. No matter who my roommates are, they have always either already been in love with Anne or they fall in love with it when I introduce it to them. There's just nothing else like Anne of Green Gables.
Here are some of my favorite memorable quotes:
"I've become too practical for romance...I shall probably end up an old maid"
"I think I'd like to be a nun. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be the bride of heaven? Oh..but then I'm not Catholic, and I hardly qualify for that sort of thing."
"Marilla! Look at the PUFFS!"
"What is your name?" "Would you call me Cordelia?"
"I like people who make me like them. Saves me so much trouble forcing myself to like them"
"Every baby is the sweetest and the best"
"Patience has ceased to be a virtue! I want this rumpus stopped right now!"
"My husband never ate anyone, dead or alive"
"Oh Marilla! Such a Jonah day!"

Well, anyway, it's my favorite and probably the most heart touching movie/book ever created. If you haven't seen it, find a way and watch it as soon as possible!
